Great restaurant with very worth seeing decoration. Nice, attentive service. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended are the game but also all other (Saarland) delicacies. At the weekend you should definitely book a table.

      Johann-Adams-Münhle

Johann-Adams-Münhle, one of the last remaining mill properties in Saarland, was first mentioned in writing in 1589. Today's mill buildings date back to 1735. In 1983 the municipality of Tholey acquired the listed building: and renovated it true to the original. The Johann-Adams-Mühle, a two-storey, originally thatched half-timbered building with a raised mill wheel, is the only mill in Saarland where the grinding room still has medieval features. The water is fed to the mill wheel via a 12 meter long oak bridge. The building walls were filled in and filled on the spot with a specially made clay and straw mixture. A thatched roof decorates the mill building. The open hearth and the oven in the utility room have also been restored true to the original. The mill wheel is turning again, and the old grinder from the Middle Ages is functional again. The mill ensemble houses a circle mill museum. In the 200-year-old oven, bread is still baked according to old recipes on a regular basis. Where chickens and pigs used to be housed, exhibitions are now shown and creative courses are held. The country restaurant in the former farm building invites you to take a break. Source: Text information board

Large estate with circular route, restaurant and bistro Imsbachstube. Table reservation in fine weather is essential.
