Ohe has had a church since 1954. St. Michael's Chapel was built with funds from the American Christian organization, the Wooden Church Crusade. After mediation by Princess Ann-Mari von Bismarck, the construction costs were taken over by the American Church Association. Instead of the originally planned wooden building, however, a brick church was built according to plans by the Reinbek architect Theodor Pichinot.
In front of the original of the St. Michael's chapel in Ohe it stands again as a miniature.
The colorful jewel in the St. Michael's Chapel in Ohe is the altar window created by Siegfried Assmann in the mid-1950s.kirchengemeindeschoenningstedtohe.de/beitraege/beitraege/vor-dem-original-die-st-michaels-kapelle-in-ohe-als-miniaturkultur-stormarn.de/stormarn-smart-discoveren/reinbek/view/42

This church in Ohe was dedicated to the Archangel Michael. The name (coming from Hebrew) means "Who is like God?". He is often depicted - on paintings or as a statue - with a flaming sword, and occasionally a lance. Michael is - together with Raphael, Gabriel and Uriel - one of the four archangels who (according to human imagination) occupy the highest rank in the heavenly hierarchy of angelic beings. Their common feast day in the saints calendar is September 29th.
