From the top station of the Wurmberg Bahn, you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy mountain biking. You can start longer tours here or try out the tracks in the bike park Braunlage. Four routes start directly up here and lead down to the valley station. From there you can let yourself be brought up by mountain railway to the top. If you put the end of your tour here, you could strengthen yourself at a stop on the Wurmberg Alm and then enjoy the final descent.

Lifting is exhausting, but with the cable car open up great opportunities. For example, To Schierke or in the bike park with its natural routes.

At the foot of the Wurmberg, you can borrow the monster scooters, take the cable car to the Wurmberg and then it goes into the valley. Really great experience monsterroller.de

It does not get any higher - the Wurmberg with 971 m summit height is the highest mountain in Lower Saxony and offers a fantastic view of the Brocken, the highest mountain in the Harz at 1,142 m. Almost the entire Harz National Park is at your feet up here. But the view extends far beyond, with clear views to the Wasserkuppe in the Rhön and the Great Inselsberg in the Thuringian Forest. You can also see the Kassel mountains and the Kyfhäuser mountains. Or you can look east into the Magdeburger Börde.

    Stamp office 156 / Wurmberg - Baude
The Wurmberg (971 m above sea level) is the highest mountain in the state of Lower Saxony and after the Brocken (1,141 m above sea level), the second highest elevation in the Harz.

The Wurmberg is located outside the Harz National Park 3 km north of Braunlage and 4.8 km as the crow flies from the Brocken summit. In between lies the valley of the Cold Bode and the border to Saxony-Anhalt and at the time of the German division the border to the GDR.

There are several down hill trails of varying difficulty. However, you should not go down without protectors at all.
