There is a legend to the name of the rock:On 4 April 1823, the respectable button maker Fidelis Martin crashed here. He came from the market in Tuttlingen and was with his little horse on the way from Fridingen to Beuron. When he was at the height of the old ski jump, it began to night.
According to the legend, the button maker met the hardtail and led the man out on the steep cliff, as man and steed crashed down. It was not until 14 days later that shepherds of Beuron found her dead at the foot of the rock.translated by
