Forebay of Buch Reservoir

The reservoir is great for a large or small break. There is a sandy beach and large lawns to relax. Barbecue areas and a kiosk are also available. If you want to cool off, just hop in the water. Otherwise, you can also explore the lake by pedal boat or rowing boat.

Very nicely located and a wonderful peace on this spot, at least on the upper part of the lake.
Things are different in the direction of Ellwangen. Here are the bathing beaches, jetties and kiosks with a corresponding crowd of people.
Restored old Roman complexes can also be admired, a Roman fort used to be here during their Limes heyday (meaning, of course, the occupation of Europe....).
In the summer holidays it's pretty crowded here, but that's what it's designed for.
During the week it is quite peaceful and quiet around the lake and then you can also make a nice bike tour around it.
