The area is beautiful for hiking. Unfortunately, the restaurant "Fuchskaute" has been closed for some time and the owner has also cordoned off the parking lot and the paths across his property. Diversions are signposted.

The restaurant on the highest point of the Westerwald (657 meters) is highly recommended as an excursion destination. In the summer months there is a delicious lunch buffet every day.

Highest elevation in the Westerwald. The view over the Westerwald Heights is really great. In the restaurant with beer garden, there is everything the cyclist and hiker's heart desires in a beautiful ambience and not too expensive.

Very nice place, invites you to stop after a hike. The beer garden is open from spring to autumn, otherwise there is a nice place in the house and on the terrace. Coffee and cake were delicious 😋

The "Fuchskaute" is a wonderful place to rest and strengthen yourself. There is a good restaurant there, but it doesn't have a good website. Under "opening times" you will find in vain the note that Tuesdays are closed.

Fuchskaute is the highest point in the Westerwald. From there you have a very nice view. Always worth a break.
