The NSG "Sültsoid" is a striking expansion of the Hedertals, about 500 m below the Hederquellen at Upsprunge. The floodplain consists here of wet to swampy, swollen meadows or pastures.
The "Sültsoid" receives its special character from several brine springs springing up in the area, which have led to salt-affected areas. On these saline soils, a specialized vegetation has set in, which can be found in comparable form in the salt marshes on the sea coast.
The NSG "Sültsoid" belongs to the FFH area "Heder mit ThülerMoorkomplex" (Natura 2000 DE-4317-303) and to the European bird sanctuary "Hellwegbörde" (Natura 2000 DE-4415-401).Source: kreis-paderborn.de

Beautiful, firm hiking trail along the Heder river. There are a few pieces of sports equipment along the way to provide some variety and several benches invite you to take a break and stretch.
