At 1,211 meters, tourists and travelers alike are offered everything their hearts desire. There is a variety of accommodation available and you don't have to cut back on culinary delights. Mountain bikers and racing cyclists will find a good network of routes and tours. It's not for nothing that the Giro d'Italia stops at the lively mountain sports center.

Cortina d'Ampezzo is a ski resort in northern Italy. It is part of the Dolomiti Superski area, which also includes the Passo di Falzarego with its descents. The host cities of the 1956 Winter Olympics, held in Cortina, include the ice rink, the Eugenio Monti bobsleigh track and the Trampolino Olimpico Italia. West of the city there is a snow park in the tofans for jumps and tricks. The Passo di Giau is suitable for snow kiting.
