Blomeyer, who owned and ran the Haus Beck manor as a farmer, served as honorary mayor of the municipality of Ulenburg from 1929 to 1945 and from 1951 to 1968.

During the Nazi era, Blomeyer was a local farmer's leader. In the 1949 federal election he ran in one of the lower places on the list. Blomeyer continued to work in professional agricultural representations.

He had been a member of the Vandalia Heidelberg Corps since 1919.
