Mountain Biking Highlight
The trail landscape on the west side of the glider airfield is well suited for "gymnastics" with the MTB. Short ascents and descents can be practiced in different levels of difficulty. The soil consists mainly of sand-lime brick, sometimes loose stones, sometimes mixed with soil, sometimes bare rock. The hilly roller coaster is also worth a ride or two: here you can practice using the momentum and shifting ahead. Helmet is mandatory and other protective equipment is recommended. Patches and punches are also strongly recommended. When I do gymnastics here I have a flat tire every third time. Hawthorn bushes grow here; they have thorns as hard as nails!
