Part of the Limes circuit in Gmünd. Starts at the Limes Information Center at the entrance to the Rotenbachtal. An information pavilion with a landscape model provides information about the life and work of the Romans at the Limes. The information boards and models of castles provide an insight into the Roman past of Schwäbisch Gmünd. The replica of a Roman milestone informs about the distance of Schwäbisch Gmünd to important cities of the Roman Empire. About 900 m away from the information pavilion, on the western slope of the valley above the Rotenbach, lies the well-recognizable beginning of the raetischen wall which was built from coarsely carved stone blocks.
