On the initiative of four men from Haugsdorf, Johann Dietrich, Robert Jansen, Alfred Gürtenhofer and Anton Mayer, a Way of the Cross was realized last year in Haugsdorf with the support of the local village renewal association under the direction of Mistress Michaela Trojan.

Together with the market town of Haugsdorf, represented by Mayor Andreas Sedlmayer, the initiators determined the route for the new project and, with the support of the affected residents, established the stands for the 14 stations.
