Place easily reachable from Badia Prataglia and from Romagna. For enduro lovers, the Crocina-Bertesca route and then Bertesca-Forconali are recommended. This last stretch, about 4 km long, has a difference in altitude of 600 m in the middle of the woods with uneven terrain at times. Put on your protection!!

La Lama is located on the Romagna side of the Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona and Campigna National Park, a short distance from the "infamous" Sasso Fratino Integral Reserve, just three hours' walk from the Camaldoli Hermitage.
The peculiarity of this corner of paradise lies in the territorial conformation since this plain, located at the foot of the very steep Romagna slope, is surrounded by a sort of "forest amphitheatre" which gives the visitor's eyes a sense of "nature's embrace".
Being the first plain encountered by the myriad of streams that originate upstream, in the rainy months the Lama becomes a real swamp, which increases the biodiversity of the habitats and species present within the National Park....

A place almost uncontaminated by man located in the heart of the Foreste Casentinesi National Park, with centuries-old plants and lush meadows surrounded by forests and the hills of the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines.
Here you come across many small streams that descend from the surrounding hills in a characteristic tangle of fords, wooden bridges and small waterfalls.
An ideal place for picnics and to spend a few hours outdoors in a setting of very varied natural beauty.
      ...
Among the meadows there is a source of drinking water (Fonte di S. Francesco), a forestry station, a CAI refuge and a small church built on the top of a small hill.
