The path that leads from Cancano to Bocchetta di Pedenolo is truly unique: wide hairpin bends, pleasant ground, breathtaking views. A truly unique and perfect road for MTB.

The trail between the Laghi di Cancano and the Bocchetta di Pedenolo is less recommended because of the great downhill experience, but more because of the unique landscape.
The historic military road meanders in wide curves over a beautiful high alpine pasture with a great panorama and an incredible number of marmots. Finally, in the Valle Forcola it is also interesting from a technical point of view: Loose scree on the way can lead to falling rocks. The hairpin bends are sometimes narrow and the abyss is deep.
The path is driven on and committed in both directions.
Please note the risk of falling rocks for other people on the way when you drive.

Really exciting climb, once you reach the hut it seems to be in an enchanted place.

Incredibly beautiful section to be taken with caution in the lower part.

An absolute highlight if you are traveling by crossing the Alps, this passage should definitely be included in the planning. Highly mobile, the descent on the other side is fantastic. Over switchbacks it goes down a steep edge into the valley in a lunar landscape. Exactly what the alpine crosser is looking for. Lots of international bikers to meet.

Less flow trail than more gravel road. We are cranked the whole thing up.

This is definitely the best part of the entire tour! Right after the the Bochetta di Forcola (2768m) you can choose the hit the first left to the Bocchetta di Pedenolo (approx. 0.30 min) on a single super-cool track that flows halfway up the mountain. Or head towards Malga Forcola and then turn left onto the visible uphill path which rejoins the Pedenolo track after a 2 km climb of medium difficulty. From there is pure thrill 😵 - seeing is believing!
