The St. Michael's Church in St. Michael is the only church of the Vogtland built in Art Nouveau style. It was built in 1905/1906, after the previous building had fallen victim to a fire - as well as the previously located in exactly this place of worship in the years 1543 and 1768. Already in the middle of the 13th century stood at this point - high above the mouth of the Schwarzbach in the White Magpie enthroned - the first church Adorfer.
Since the 1990s, the Protestant-Lutheran parish largely renovated the building. In 2005, the church received a new belfry and new bronze bells.
