The Vonovia Ruhrstadion previously rewirpowerSTADION is the soccer stadium of the soccer club Vfl Bochum. It is located in the Grumme district on Castroper Strasse immediately northeast of Bochum's city center and is a "pure" football stadium. In the ranking of German football stadiums, it ranks 34th with a spectator capacity of 27,599 covered seats (of which 15,574 seats and 12,025 standing). It has one of the most traditional competition venues in German professional football. The Vfl and its predecessor clubs have been playing here since 1911.
