Herrnstein Castle is located in the Bröl valley between Bröleck and Ingersau. Herrnstein Castle dates back to a simple fortified house built around 1300 and was first mentioned in a contract dated November 15, 1370. The outside areas of the castle can be visited as shown, but a tour of the castle interior is not possible. The castle is owned by a private forestry administration.
