Giacomo di Brazzà has been the first who walked up the Jôf di Montasio. That’s why the “normal” route is called ‘via Brazzà’.
Besides that you can get some cake and your favorite drink up there and enjoy an amazing view over the mountains!

Alpine refuge inaugurated in 1969 and currently owned by the Friulian Alpine Society (Udine Section of the Italian Alpine Club). It rises on the Montasio plateau, in a very panoramic position on an isolated grassy spur. It is the privileged starting point for all the excursions that take place on the Montasio and Buinz group.
