Borrby St. Mary's Church was built in 1841 in the same location as the old church of 1123 had been. The new St. Mary's Church was initially characterized by simplicity, light and space. In retrospect, the church was decorated in various ways with an altarpiece, organ stands, cassette ceiling with stars and not least the high tower spire with its four small towers.
