The Auermühle in Ratingen was a water mill on the Angerbach. A successor building is now used as a restaurant, with a nice beer garden and a great playground for children.

The origin of the Auermühle is unclear and is believed to have been around 1700. In the 19th century it was also used as a grain distillery. From 1895 there was no longer any milling, but only distilling, with the stream water being used for cooling. The building burned down around 1900. In 1905 the owner built a new brick building on the site of the old mill, which served as a restaurant. In 1977 the building was bought and restored by the "Zweckverband Erholungsgebiet Angerland"; since 1995 it has been privately owned again.

A hotspot for many excursionists. Pretty crowded at the weekend.
