Castle of the Czernin-Kinsky family. Owner of the Forstgut Rosenhof

The two-storey chateau is located on the edge of a dense forest not far from the Czech border overlooking the town of Sandl. The horseshoe-shaped complex is grouped around a courtyard. The central wing has a broken mansard roof, the two side wings are covered with hipped roofs. The roof truss probably dates from the 18th century, the dormers from the 19th century.

The facade is kept without frills and the entrance gate flanked by columns lies in the three-axis central avant-corps protruding from the facade. The overlying hipped roof is broken through by round-arched dormers with lateral volutes. On the garden side is the Kinsky coat of arms. In 2010, as part of a general renovation, two extensions were added to the rear of the castle as a heating house and garage, each with a connecting corridor to the existing castle. The castle itself is surrounded by a large park

The graceful, two-storey castle is a horseshoe-shaped complex around a wide courtyard, which is closed off by a lattice on the entrance side. The broken mansard roof of the central wing is integrated into the hipped roofs of the two side wings, but it also has a special feature, namely the lower fore hips on the three-axis central projecting projecting from the facade, which particularly emphasizes the entrance gate flanked by columns. The castle stands in the middle of a well-kept park, the ponds of which are heavily frequented by bathing enthusiasts in midsummer. The beautiful castle was built in 1773 on behalf of Count Ferdinand von Harrach, which he named in close reference to the nicknames of his wife and daughter Rosenhof. Rosa von Harrach was the sole heir to her father's rich estate; she married Prince Josef Kinsky in 1777. It was Rosa von Kinsky who gave the palace its current appearance between 1780 and 1792. Rosenhof Castle, to which a considerable forest property still belongs to this day and has its own forestry and sawmill, is owned by the Kinsky family.
