    Hiking

It is one of the most productive hot water springs in the world.
280 liters of 100 degrees hot water flow out per second. There is a smell of sulfur here.

Right next to the Krauma thermal baths in Reykholtsdalur is the Deildartunguhver hot spring. It is considered to be the thermal spring with the largest amount of water emerging in all of Europe. Around 180 litres of water with a temperature of 97°C flow out of several holes every second. The spring has been surrounded by a concrete wall for many years and the water is collected. It flows through a pipeline to Akranes and supplies a large area in western Iceland with hot water.
