Today the big one still exists in a "modern" form (i.e. it is now 115 years old ...). A lock process takes a few minutes. The piece of canal north of Mölln is an idyllic landscape and the artificially created canal looks like a natural river landscape with gentle bends. By the way, do not worry: the name of the thunder lock does not bear witness to the frequent and dangerous storms that take place here. According to an old custom, the lock was named after the lock keeper family "Donner".
