House of the Wild Meadows

In the wild pastures of the nature reserves Höltigbaum, Stellmoorer- and Ahrensburg Tunneltal there are great hiking and biking trails through a fascinating landscape. Where tanks used to be, there is now a wide, savanna-like grassland, where flocks of sheep, goats and Galloway cattle graze all year round.In the house of the wild pastures one can visit an interactive exhibition. Natural history museum with many interactive experience areas around the "wild pastures" for young and old. The noise from the Höltig tree can be listened to in the oversized brood tube. Coffee and cake break is always possible here. Price / performance ok.

The Höltigbaum usually takes care of environmental education. Due to the corona, 2020 was very difficult because events had to be canceled and bookings were canceled.
