The cathedral is considered the largest brick building in the world (made of unfired clay bricks).
It was built in the Neo-Romanesque style, which is evident in the typical round arches and massive construction.
An estimated 1.1 million bricks were used for its construction.
The structure covers an area of approximately 5,000 m² and has two distinctive bell towers with a height of about 53 to 66 meters.
The interior houses 76 stained glass windows from Spain and a significant organ from Germany.
