Here in the geothermal region, one of the first greenhouses for the production of spirulina algae was built. The dark green microalgae produces the nutrients and is considered one of the foods of the future and is used in the areas of food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and water treatment.
The power plant has a special feature and is operated with the heat and carbon dioxide from the nearby geothermal power plant.
