The church is considered the largest and most important late Gothic building in the Upper
Muehlviertel. The simple sanctuary was built in 1350-1450, the single-nave nave
with an impressive sling rib vault was built between 1450 and 1500. The church is dem
Dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Myra, the patron saint of merchants and weavers. Striking is the massive
free-standing tower that was originally part of the fortifications. In front of the tower at the war memorial
Since 2014 there has been a memorial plaque embedded in the ground commemorating the Haslach euthanasia victims
reminded of the Nazi era. This is also the meeting point for the local tours.
