In the midst of deep spruce and beech forests, the traveler unexpectedly encounters a charmingly situated property - the Mönchhof.
Today's inn was built on the foundations of a medieval chapel. It lies on an ancient trade route in the Thuringian Forest.

In the middle of the forest, surrounded by lush nature, lies the traditional inn "Mönchshof". Real Thuringian cuisine, whether inside or in the beer garden. A small pond is a playground for dragonflies in summer.

Beautiful inn with fair prices and very dedicated staff. Interior fittings very well for an inn in the woods.
Monday and Tuesday rest day.
Wed/Thurs/Sun until 7 p.m., warm kitchen until 8 p.m. Fri/Sat.November 6, 2021

You can eat here except Monday / Tuesday. It smelled of very old frying fat, so I didn't want to try it.

Very tasty food at fair prices, cozy guest room with a fireplace 🔥👌 great starting point for hikes 😉 or for 🎿 cross-country skiing if the weather cooperates ❄️☃️
