Best Hikes to Bilstein Ruins and View of Höllental

Tips

  • The Bilstein was designated as a nature reserve as early as 1960. Only a few remains of the wall remain of the castle, which was built in 1120, as it was demolished in 1594 due to its dilapidation. From the Bilstein lookout point, just a few meters below the ruins, you can enjoy a wide and unobstructed view of the valley.

  • A wonderful view and a ruin where no one is suspected. The detour for nature, culture and geology is wonderful, the view from the rock that slopes almost perpendicular to the Berka is magnificent.
