It is considered one of the most difficult descents in the world, the Streif. The supreme discipline will be held on the Hahnenkamm after the Lauberhorn race in Wengen, Switzerland, which is also a classic. 1937 was used for the first time on today's Streif. The Austrian Thaddäus Schwabl won the first race with a time of 3: 53.1 minutes. Fritz Strobl holds the current course record, which he crossed the finish line in 1997 after 1: 51.58 minutes.
