The Stefansbrücke in Schuld, built in 1995, was named after the former mayor Stefan Schäfer. In May 2012, this bicycle and pedestrian bridge leading over the Ahr was renovated with the help of local companies in-house by the citizens. The renovation by specialist companies would have cost 30,000 euros. Because the citizens tackled it themselves and volunteered for the project for 720 hours, it only cost 6,000 euros.
