Here, at the northern end of the route near Princess Street, the path reaches the edge of Moreton Bay, where mangroves line the shore and tidal mudflats stretch out into the water. At low tide, the mud is exposed and attracts wading birds, while the bay opens to a beautiful view toward Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) on the horizon. It’s a peaceful spot with a great bench at the end of Passage Street, where the suburban surroundings suddenly give way to the open expanse of the water.
