The actual manor house was built in 1866 under Carl Ludwig Wilhelm Wichard von Heyden (1823–1882), the son of Wichard Wilhelm.
Architecturally, the building is unusual: a two-story plastered building, Tudor style, i.e., a historicizing English-looking architecture, a striking, square tower. Inclusion of an older, presumably baroque part of the building, plus a park with old trees.
The current monument list describes the ensemble as "Schloss mit Park" and details a two-story building, built around 1866, with a five-story tower.
It is precisely the tower that makes the Plötzer manor house architecturally particularly characteristic.
