Krottorf Castle

Krottorf Castle is a lowland castle that was secured by the Bode and the moats fed by it. After the original castle was destroyed in 1363, a fortified complex with buildings in the Renaissance style was not built until the 16th century and expanded by the then owner around 1890; parts of the rampart and moats are still preserved. The castle's enclosed courtyard is open to visitors.

A nice sturdy manor with a playground inside

The castle Krottorf is a low castle, which was secured by the Bode and by it fed water ditches. After the destruction of the original castle in 1363, it was not until the 16th century that a fortified complex with Renaissance-style buildings was rebuilt and extended by the then owner around 1890; Parts of ramparts and ditches are still preserved. The castle's enclosed courtyard is open to visitors.
The buildings were hardly used after the fall of the Wall, so that a community of interest has formed for the purpose of their preservation.
