The bridge over Blakiston Creek is a threshold for adventurers setting out toward the lake from the Red Rock Parkway. Crossing this large bridge marks the transition from the paved roadway into the trailhead parking area and the start of the wilderness trail. The bridge has great views of the rushing waters of Blakiston Creek flowing below, and usually crystal clear water to where all the rocks on the bottom of the riverbed are visible.
