The restaurant is located on the ledge above the Bovilla reservoir and serves as a natural meeting point for all hikes in the area. You will find a terrace, basic drinks and dishes. It is also where taxis and guides drop off, making it a logical starting point for both the balcony and the longer Gamtit ridge route.
You wouldn't expect it, but it is one of the better restaurants in Albania. Quick service and you can even pay by card! It is constantly busy.

Bovilla Restorant sits at the halfway point of the trail, roughly 25 minutes up, with glass walls and a panorama across to Mount Dajti. The menu is traditional Albanian — charcoal-grilled lamb, qofte, salads and chips, mains around €8–12. It is also the sensible turning point if the heat is fierce or you are walking with small children.
