Days Picnic Ground sits just off Lions Head Road beneath the tall forest of Mount Macedon. There are picnic tables, toilets and parking here, making it a handy place to stop before heading towards Sanatorium Lake or the surrounding tracks. In cooler months, you’ll also find wood-fuel barbecues, though you’ll need to bring your own dry wood and check fire restrictions before lighting one.
