Chute Track forms part of the steeper walking network on Mount Macedon, linking into the Macedon Ranges Walking Trail as it climbs through dense forest towards the upper slopes. Expect a proper workout here, with shaded bush, uneven ground, and cooler conditions under the canopy. After rain, sections can be muddy, so sturdy shoes are worth it before continuing towards the Memorial Cross and nearby lookouts.
