Thredbo Diggings Campground is nestled in some snow gum trees right on the Thredbo River. In summer, it's really popular with families and fishermen, having picnic areas and pit toilets. The Thredbo River is generally pretty calm here, so it's a great swimming and floating spot. Snow chains are recommended for navigating this area in winter.
