"Moritzburg Castle is located in the municipality of Moritzburg near Dresden, which dates back to the 16th century hunting lodge and has been given its present appearance in the 18th century under Augustus the Strong." Wikipedia - Castle Moritzburg (Saxony)

Without question one of the most beautiful tourism destinations in the region.
Although the place does not have much to offer. The landscape around with the lakes and forests and baroque palaces and parks is worth a visit.

Radeburg, Zille's birthplace, take the small train from Radebeul to Radeburg, enjoy the ride. See Radeburg u.a Zilledenkmal and local history museum. Walk over Bärwalde to Moritzburg.

You can also drive true style with a horse carriage around the castle and behind the lighthouse and Fasanenschlösschen. The cabs are always in front of the castle, right on the large parking lot.

The castle Moritzburg is definitely worth a visit! Whether in summer or winter - it is just wonderful there. A visit to the castle should not be missed, and in the winter time there is always a beautiful exhibition in the rooms of the castle. "Three hazelnuts for Aschenbröder" - one of the most famous winter / Christmas films was filmed there and the exhibition revolves around this film.

The scene with the lost shoe was created at the staircase on the east side of the castle Moritzburg near Dresden, now a very popular place for marriage proposals. In the castle is also the ballroom, which was modeled for the scene in which Cinderella meets the prince.
