Southwest of Parkwood Estate is the 'Formal Garden', a walled Art Moderne garden from the 1930s. In the middle of this garden is a 60-meter long reflecting pool with an open building at one end of the pool and a fountain at the other end. The building houses the Garden Teahouse Restaurant.
This garden is described as a masterpiece and has been awarded the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada's Bronze Medal for its design.
