The Hohe Loog hut of the Pfälzer Wald Verein Hambach is open all year round on Wednesdays, public holidays and on weekends.
Additionally in the summer and autumn holidays in RLP daily!

The Hohe Loog house is located at an altitude of 620 m asl. From there you have a magnificent view over the Rhine plain and the Kalmit. From here beautiful walks are possible. The hut is operated by members of the Palatine Forest Association Hambach e.V. The opening days are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. A rewarding climb.

The Hohe Loog is always worth a visit. And every trail from there is a highlight. But damper test range ?! Hm...

From the High Loog you can start many trails. A nice trail is the stairs trail north.

Always a nice stop!
Avoid the hut and paths - especially "Red Dot" - on Sundays and public holidays between 10 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. It is a popular destination for walkers / hikers due to the nearby parking lot. The hut is also full, so the waiting times are long. Better go somewhere else! :-)April 1, 2020

In the early morning hours a nice view over the clouds. Great trail down to Nollen. But again there is a lot of traffic
