The evangelical church in Lahde is a neo-Gothic hall church

Lahde's landmark, which can be seen from afar, is the Evangelical Church with its towering, pointed tower. It is located in the historical village center on a hill opposite the Meyer farms and above the nearby monastery mill (windmill and watermill). Today's neo-Gothic brick hall church, built in 1894/95 (architect: Johannes August Kersten, 1854-1914), replaced the dilapidated medieval predecessor church, which was already mentioned in 1206. In the porch there is a tympanum relief from the old church from the 12th century and in the high, bright interior with ribbed vaulting there is a carved wooden pulpit that is over 450 years old. Otherwise the complete interior from 1895 still exists, including the organ from 1894 (built by Furtwangler & Hammer). The church is rarely open outside of service times.

A church was first mentioned in documents in 1206. The neo-Gothic brick hall with stonework was built between 1892 and 1895 by Johann August Kersten to replace a previous church. The choir is polygonally closed, the west tower is integrated. In the bright interior of the hall church[1], cross-ribbed vaults rest on round supports.
