Devil’s Hole pond sits within Camosun Bog and is surrounded by the boardwalk, giving you a close-up look at one of the bog’s wetland habitats. The pond has a long local history, with stories of neighbourhood children playing hockey on it during winter and even building a raft to float on it in the summer. Its unusual name comes from a local naturalist, Denis Underhill, who was testing its depth and pushed a stick into the pond but couldn’t reach the bottom.
