Visible scars from the Vietnam War, these large circular craters were left by B‑52 airstrikes that devastated parts of the Cham temple valley in the late 1960s. Several sit directly beside ruined towers, showing where explosions collapsed ancient brick structures and reshaped the landscape. A stark, quiet reminder of how close the sanctuary came to being lost, contrasting sharply with the surrounding jungle and the surviving Hindu temples.
