From this spot where Awonga Lake opens into Tallebudgera Creek, the water widens into a calm, sheltered stretch lined with waterfront homes and small sandy patches that meet the edge of the water. This is one of the entrances to Palm Beach’s canal estate, carved out in the 1960s from a natural inlet off the creek to create the residential waterways that exist today. It’s a quiet spot where you might see an occasional paddler passing by below as you cross.
