The Saint-Quentin canal follows the Escaut river more or less faithfully.
Its course is marked by locks and footbridges which are individually points of interest. The towpath that runs along the canal allows easy access to the interesting points that border it.
On two occasions, in the towns of Masnières and Noyelles, the Escaut passes under the Saint Quentin canal thanks to "canal bridges".
This lock is lock n°7 of Masnières on the Saint-Quentin canal.
