Hiking
The Ihlsee and Ihlwald nature reserve is an ecologically valuable protected area on the northern outskirts of Bad Segeberg. It is characterized by the rare combination of an extremely nutrient-poor clear-water lake and a primeval forest-like alder swamp forest. The area is looked after voluntarily by NABU Bad Segeberg, which has hung many nest boxes on the trees.
