In the valley along the Ruisseau de Couecq, just below the higher slopes of Cabane de la Caillabère, you’ll bump into classic shepherd huts like Cabane Grosse (1,623 m) and the neighboring Cabane d'Atsout. Sitting right beside the stream, this is where local shepherds bring their herds up to graze during the summer estives. Peaceful slice of Pyrenean mountain life!
