Negwegon State Park is a rustic, undeveloped area that is popular with bird watchers, hikers, backcountry campers, hunters, and beachgoers. The 4,000-acre park features 8 miles of Lake Huron Lakeshore, including 1 mile of beautiful sandy beach.
The park is a mix of lowlands, small ridges, and open meadows with a mix of mature pine, hardwood, and aspen forests, and is rich in unique plant species and wildlife, including bald eagles, Northern pitcher plant, Blanding's turtles, and more.
Negwegon also hosts a designated dark sky preserve and offers fantastic opportunities to view the night sky.
